Barbour: ‘You won’t recognize’ health reform when GOP is done with it
"If Republicans get control of Congress after the midterm elections, the party will make the recent health care reform law unrecognizable, the chairman of the Republican Governors Association said Sunday."

never cared about his health.

6. They have already made it unrecognizable. That's why it's not appreciated.
Edited on Sun Oct-31-10 10:25 PM by The Wielding Truth
They have stopped it from being the best it could have been and twisted the good it is doing.

That asshole deserves to just rot. The GOP will create the death panels by eliminating government funded care for the less fortunate.

8. GOP ain't gonna do jackshit with it.
Veto power. And you don't have the numbers to override it.

Suck on that, GOP, and watch your massive losses in '12 when you are caught lying to 'prove' something which is nothing.

10. While Obama has compromised away a lot of things, this is one thing where I see resolve
He will happily veto any repeal or any budget that defunds the health care bill.

And he'll have a Rose Garden ceremony as he does it too, flanked by families who have benefited from the law.

16. Now that's racism pure and simple.
What got passed WAS the republican plan, but because Obama is black it isn't RW enough. That's just wrong.

17. I read the Contract on America II...
in it, they pledge just to repeal the entire bill. How, exactly, they plan to do that while the guy who signed it in the first place is sitting in the Oval Office, I have no idea.

Am I correct in assuming absolute repeal didn't go over well in polling--because there ARE a lot of things in the bill the American people like, it's just that no one likes the mandate and the left doesn't like the absence of either a public option or single-payer plan in the bill--so they're going to promise something else? And, probably, threaten to shut down the government if you don't get your way.

Gov. Barbour, you may want to call Speaker Gingrich and ask him what happens when you shut down the government because your party gets its panties in a bunch.
