Some of the things that I've seen recently boggle my mind. It seems that we truly are in '1984' territory when it comes to truth and accuracy in the media.
I clicked over to Politico last night to check out their polling results page RE the House. I had read a couple of posts here on DU that made me curious about what that particular site might be saying.
So, of course, the main gist of their polling is the standard "Republicans Sweep The House based on the following results."
The only problem is, of all of the house races that Politico was keeping on the "watch list" or whatever, the vast majority of the polls they cited were OLD. Like August and September. A few of the polls were from early October.
WTF is right. We're going to take OLD polls, that give us the results WE WANT, and then post them as gospel. Now, granted, I can see a site like Poltico with an agenda doing this. But, the nominally "neutral" media is doing the same thing.
This election has REALLY opened my eyes about the death of any shred of objectivity in 99% of the media. Right wing lap dogs. I used to think that most of the major news organizations did a relatively good job staying objective. Not any more.
