Everyone says that they will win in a huge landslide or tsunami, depending on their preference for solids or liquids.

Should it happen as predicted, it will be great for them in the short term. But if they actually win the house, they will be forced to reveal their
cruel agenda.

If they don't win, however....it is the end of the world, and they will devour themselves as they try to place blame.
Even if they win, the power struggle for control of the party will not be pretty.

the Repub elite is already angry that multiple highly vulnerable Senate seats have been pissed away by laughable Tea Party candidates.

The war between Rove and Palin has begun regardless of the outcome of this election.

The party will be ripped to shreds if they lose.

The party is going to be ripped apart no matter what happens! If they do win, Palin is going to take that as a sign she has the "power" to force the party to do what she wants, and Rove is not going to put up with that. She wants to be the "LEADER" of the republican party, even though most republicans don't want her. Her thirst for "power" and more money is going to cause a problem no matter what happens. If a lot of those teabaggers she backed lose, it might bring her down a notch, but as you said there will still be a lot of anger in the party and they will be blaming the teabaggers for losing.

4. I think the OP means the end of the world as they know it for the GOP.

They are a shell organization and if they lose some of them will begin to understand that what they here to fore thought of as sacred and bedrock truths are nothing but a bunch of hooey. They will reorganize and come together in some agreement or other but the process will be both fascinating and painful to watch. If they win, eventually they will reach the same place, but not without doing a lot of damage.

5. This is what will happen if the GOP wins

The benefits of action taken by the Obama administration over the last two years will finally begin to be felt by a larger majority of Americans. Republicans will gleefully take credit for policies they obstructed 2008-2010 and Americans, who have a terribly short memory, will gladly give them credit because they finally feel better. Republican gains will increase in 2012 (though they might not win the presidency) and 2012-2014 will be a nightmare of deadlock and vitriol. Seeing no progress, Americans will vote in 2014 to "throw the bums out" again, this time de-electing repubs and re-electing dems, giving Obama a majority for two more years and the resulting ability to get shit done.

There's a Yakov Smirnov joke in here somewhere, but I too depressed to find it.

9. More like Bernanke will be making the decision to pump a half trillion into the economy tomorrow.

It will result in the inflation of another bubble but, in the short term, it will look like the Republicans got everything moving again.

but that could give a boost to employment and make it look as if things are turning around. If the Republicans come to power, they'll get the credit for the seeming 'improvement.'

Never has any thing to do with what is good for this country as a whole..
With all the problem that we as working class are having to endure, why not take time for them to heal their pity differences while promoting their political schemes.
This further prove these pampered souls live above the economy, their banking accounts are only getting more robust accounting to statistics.
Well at least, while more and more of us lose our life savings, we can rest assured we with have great entertainment as these
