F**K CHUCK
I am so sick of Chuck Todd and his spin. As far as I am concerned if we lose some of the most important races blood is clearly on his hands. His spin and skewed poll numbers CAN influence those on the fence. Why hasn't anyone asked them, "what is this new CNN/Times poll?". Also, the virtually unlimited $$$ on their side is taking its toll, with that kind of cash one can get ANYBODY elected. Angle, "REALLY?"

5. I agree.
Todd is an ass, and anyone can find a poll someplace that is bad for the democrats, but as someone else said today, if a republican was "up" by 5 or more points it would be huge lead, but if a democrat had the same lead it would be a "tie"! The right wing media is going to do everything they can today to try and discourage democrats from getting out and voting tomorrow. They will be using any poll they can find to show democrats are behind. Yesterday I heard that Rossi was ahead of Murray in Washington state, my state. I don't recall if it was MSNBC or CNN, but last night on the Spokane channel, I heard that Murray had a 9 point lead over Rossi! You just can't buy into all the BS you hear from the media!

10. Turn it off. Why continue to watch what is clearly propaganda?
Chuckles the Corporate Toad is doing what his masters pay him to do. msnbc doesn't deserve daytime viewers. They suck as much as the other cable nooze stations.

11. It would seem that the station assumes RWingnuts do not work so they can watch TV during the day...
Edited on Mon Nov-01-10 11:48 AM by BrklynLiberal
while Liberals have to work for a living and therefore only watch at night.

Seems to apply to talk radio as well. All the real RW assholes are on during the day, when most of us are busy at work.

14. They could also be targeting seniors, which are perceived to be conservative.
Who knows what goes through the minds of TPTB at msnbc. What they're airing is definitely not watchable though. At least for me.

12. I caught 10 secs of the Today Show this am. Todd was saying that "some analysts"
are telling him that "the Ds could lose UP TO 100 SEATS in the House" tomorrow!!!!

This is simply hysterical shit, the kind of shit we've been hearing around elections for the past couple of cycles. It's all intended to 1. create a narrative of inevitability that favors the Rs, 2. depress D turnout and 3. create a pretext to challenge the results when they do not fit the narrative of R inevitability.

Todd's "analysis" IGNORES all of the polls that show things are dead even or that Ds have erased the supposed "enthusiasm gap." And while we're on THAT subject, when was the last election that a supposed "enthusiasm gap" was THE main indicator of how an election was going to turn out? Can you say, "NEVER?" Yes, this is the first time in history that THE most-important factor has been the "enthusiasm gap." Why is that? Could it be because all of the normal indicators don't happen to support the MSM narrative, so the MSM - with the help and guidance of the Rs - has conveniently CREATED an indicator from whole cloth, and is running with it like there's no tomorrow?

Meanwhile, over at MSGOP's morning line up, we hear that all polls have Jerry Brown up by AT LEAST 10 points, only to be told immediately thereafter that Meg Whitman's "internal polls" show the race to be a dead heat. Hmm? Now, when did we last hear about "internal polls" that showed other polls to be WAY off? Would that be Karl Rove's "I've got the REAL numbers" polls from 2008, the polls that showed an R RESURGANCE with McCain capturing the WH and Obama going down in flames? Does anyone remember the play Rove's "real numbers" got in the MSM at the time, because I do.

So, I wonder where Chuckles Todd is getting HIS info from, info telling him that the Ds could lose up to 100 seats in the House? Could it be from those same ol RW "internal polls?"

Yep, I'm going to guess that that's it.

Don't trust any of these polls, good or bad. The "honest" pollsters are using models that don't account for today's realities while the polls coming out of the political parties are just GIGO.
