She isn't going to lose just because of what she has done to her base. She is going to lose because no one, left, right, or middle, likes her. She is still better than Boozman.

14. Um... no... this is the opposite in its reasoning.

In the Witchie race, the teabaggers succeeded in getting their dumbass in the running for Senate - and she's trailing by, last time I checked, 10 percentage points.

In the Blanched race, liberals DID NOT succeed in getting their more progressive candidate in the running for Senate - and the winner - a certified DINO - is trailing by 19 percentage points.

So, it's not the same thing at all.

IMHO, had it been Castle, the established and not-so-freaky Republican, in Delaware, then the establishment Republican would have won. Had it been Halter, the true progressive, in Arkansas, then the outsider Democrat would have won.

16. I really doubt Halter would have won the general election. This is Arkansas. Even the hint of

'progressive' spooks the vast majority here. Halter is in the same mold as Bill Clinton and he's certainly no 'outsider' to Arkansas politics.

Arkansas went big for McCain in 2008. I'll let you figure out the mood here today with a President Obama.

15. DINOs, love 'em or hate 'em, vote mostly with the Dems

and count toward maintaining Democratic control of each house of Congress. Republicans vote against anything Democratic every time. So this is mostly about math and I'd rather at least have Democratic control along with the power that goes with it.

Get rid of DINOs and it's likely you will get Republicans in their district or state for a long time. The odds are that the only flavor Democrat who could win in those places would be a DINO and politicians basically run and vote to get reelected and not take positions that assure their defeat in their district or state. I think that if all Democrats ran on a Liberal platform then Democrats would be a minority party but then my view comes from pragmatic reality as opposed to my wishful fantasy.

Where I live I will take a DINO any day of the week rather than have a Republican or a Teabagger represent me.
