1. It varies from election to election
In 2008 it was surely the Democrats, and may be so again this year too, but an election has to be close for GOTV to make a conclusive difference. Otherwise you are just talking about losing by 20% as opposed to losing by 15% with a strong GOTV.

3. Between OFA & the locals I'm being bombarded...here...
Its a sign that the slim margin of registered Democrats here in Orange County NY is organized and fighting. I sure hope it translates into a big day tomorrow and we hold Hall in the 19th. Its crucial we take Albany big for the re-districting. The line here are so bias to favor Republicans you'd be amazed. Crossroads & the other groups have been sending in a shitload of $$ all run by Republican operatives with the former governor shilling for them. I will say one thing OFA is hooking up with locals, its working.

5. It depends on the state.
Florida, with all their scandlas in the Republican party establisment, have left GOTV to individual candidates. Democrats are stronger there, not that it will keep Rubio out of the Senate. But it may help other races. California has a good GOTV effort by Democrats and independat liberal organizaitons. I've had seven calls now to remind me to GOTV and ask if I know where my polling stastion is.
