Classy Carl Paladino Gets Drunk, Hangs Out With Guy in Blackface Before Election

While things aren't looking too good for New York State gubernatorial candidate Carl Paladino on election day, he decided to party it up nonetheless, capping off a reprehensible campaign season with yet another decidedly gross show of character. On Saturday night, while his opponent Andrew Cuomo remained dogged on the campaign trail, Palladino was busy boozing it up at his favorite bar in Buffalo, Potter's Field. While there's technically nothing wrong with getting a little lubed up on a holiday (though alcohol is more dangerous than heroin), Paladino was snapped in photos with a constituent wearing blackface costume.

Presumably the candidate did not lecture said constituent about his racism–particularly since he has a history of being racist himself, having forwarded emails containing YouTube videos popular with Neo-Nazis and viral .jpgs including the n-word, et cetera. Liquor, too, seems to bring out the worst in him–a few years ago, he allegedly sexually harrassed burlesque dancers at a lesbian bar, then yelled epithets at a gay comedian. This is, of course, all precedent to his very real public speeches against gays and sexist statements about Kristin Gillibrand. Suffice to say, after tomorrow, we're hoping to offer Paladino a very, very good riddance.

Carl Paladino’s Halloween Drunktacular

While Andrew Cuomo was in Monroe County rallying supporters and actually campaigning, Carl Paladino was having himself a helluva time at South Buffalo watering hole, Potter’s Field. The bar, just down the block from Carl’s house is one of his favorite places to grab a beer and hang out with his core constituents; zombies.

Several correspondents on the scene (including the person who submitted the pictures to us) report that Carl was pretty well lubricated and enjoyed spending time with another core constituency, guys in blackface.

Unlike his last time out on the town, Carl did not insult any burlesque dancers by asking to “see their p#ssy” or throw around gay epithets. So, he has that going for him, which is nice.
