Teabagger poll watchers, listen up
You will NOT intimidate anyone at my precinct, do you hear? I will tattle on your ass with my cell phone, which I'm allowed to have in the polling place (unlike you).

We got poll watchers watching the poll watchers.

We are ready for you, and you will not intimidate my voters.

This election will be conducted TO THE LETTER in accordance with the laws of the great State of Texas.

You newbie poll watchers financed by the billionaires do not need to think that you are going to skeer me or any other election judge.

So watch it.

:patriot:

1. Oh that's interesting
So I CAN bring my cell phone in and grab a pic of them if they try to get my vote throw in the 'count later by paper' bin?

3. No cell phones in the polling place in Texas
Cameras, video recorders, or anything. Everything has to be turned off. That includes being in a long line of voters who have not yet received their voter qualifications.

The judges can have all the cell phones they want.

Because of early voting problems, plain clothes police are in place in vulnerable precincts to prevent intimidation and to support the judges.

6. P.S.
What you can do is to file a complaint with the judge. In Texas, every complaint has to be documented and turned in on election night. The judge is responsible for your getting to vote in peace, to show you how to use any voting equipment or how to mark you ballot if you request, and things like that.

If your voting does not run smoothly, notify the judge.

2. And don't forget we have the Rules and Bylaws to make certain you are Certified
Some goes for my Precinct, even though I'm only an Alternate Judge, I still have the authority to report your actions.

4. I'm alternate too
Being in this red, red county.

So I'm watching the judge too to be sure all goes in accordance.

I've had some real trouble with new judges.

7. Sent you a PM
Yes trouble with Presiding Judges is a BIG problem. They think it's okay to poke fun at the other party, ie Democrats.

5. Just found out that...
POUGHKEEPSIE — Members of two Tea Party groups may not serve as Dutchess County poll watchers on Election Day, a county elections commissioner says.

Colin Hanna, president of the group Let Freedom Ring of West Chester, Pa., wrote to Dutchess County Democratic Elections Commissioner Fran Knapp on behalf of his group and the Tea Party Patriots, which are seeking permission to have members serve as poll watchers next Tuesday.

Knapp replied that the proposed poll watchers are not qualified under New York state election law and cannot serve as election observers in Dutchess.

Citing state election law, Knapp wrote: “Poll watchers must be certified in writing by a candidate or a chairperson of a political committee or independent body and must present a certificate for each election district to the elections inspector for that election district. Each watcher must be a qualified voter in Dutchess County.”

and the election commissioner wants every poll watchers certificate checked very carefully!

YES!!!!

8. Same in Texas
You have to be appointed by a candidate. And the Republicans generally will NOT appoint teabaggers.

12. We had 4 teabaggers pollwatchers everyday at my early voting location.
Edited on Mon Nov-01-10 04:58 PM by texanwitch
They were nasty, tried to break the rules.

Didn't work, make them obey the law.

Stand your ground, we did.

The teabaggers even pissed of the the republicans next door.

Me and my early voting crew did well, good luck to everyone working the polls tomorrow.
