I am fighting and I encourage you to do so as well.

At this point there is nothing productive about siding with Stewart or Schultz or Olbermann.

At this point there is nothing productive in calling for Tim Kaine to step down.

At this point there is nothing productive about complaining that Obama is not progressive enough.

At this point there is nothing productive in worrying about who becomes majority leader if Reid loses (worry about helping win).

At this point you should be figuring out what you can do today to guard the change.

I am scrapping change together to pay for physical therapy. I have health insurance, but lack access to affordable medical care.

I sure do feel much better since paying for PT. I really feel better. Too bad I can't afford it.

actually, I guess I am complaining after all..

7. If you are spending time on here, you definitely aren't fighting.
Despite what people like to think, posting on a message board doesn't count as activism.

12. Disagree. DU is a wonderful means of keeping informed....
...which helps me on the phone calls and at the doors.

20. Don't sell yourself short.
Informing yourself is just that, informing yourself. Calling it activism lumps yourself in with lazy asses that just sit around on DU "informing themselves" all day and never moving from their computer.

Your phone calls and knocking on doors are real activism.

13. But posting on DU

And our energy counts, believe that. It counts for alot.

22. Volunteering counts.
But, posting on DU is just chatting on a discussion board. It doesn't directly impact anyone's life or advance any cause. People can call it informing, but in reality there is no discernible difference between "informing" and sitting on your ass fucking around on DU all day.

9. My first "most important" midterm was in 1966.
Followed by 22 "most important" elections. And, I expect, that 2012 will be the next "most important" election.

11. I have to be at the polls at 9:30 tonight
to set up and be back at 6:00 a.m.

I did my last canvassing this weekend.

Everyone can log on to MoveOn and make phone calls from their homes this evening to help get out the vote in critical areas.

15. Democratic umbrella is huge. Big enough for Stewart, Olbermann and lots more.

Remember, it is the other party that speaks as one and marches in lock step.

Approach politics like a Buddhist. Be nice when it is appropriate to be nice. Be a bitch when it is appropriate to be a bitch. Raise a shit storm when it is appropriate to raise a shit storm.

Mr. Tesha and I just finished a two-hour "Visibility" shift and he'll
be out at the polls all day tomorrow, from opening to closing and
I'll be out as long as I can stand to stand still in one place.

We've *EARNED* our right to complain. ;)
