Street robbers steal 80-year-old woman's dog

Two men robbed an 80-year-old woman of her Yorkshire terrier in Alameda, police said today.

The woman was walking her dog, named Deuce, near Encinal Avenue and Fountain Street when she was confronted by two men in a car at about 2 p.m. Saturday, police Lt. Sean Lynch said.

One of the men acted as if he had a gun and demanded both the dog and her purse, Lynch said.

When she refused, one of the men pulled the leashed dog away from her while the other grabbed her purse, police said.

The men fled in a faded blue or green 1980s Honda or Toyota sedan, which had a primer-colored left-front quarter panel. The suspects were described only as black men in their late teens or early 20s.

5. the purse is awful, of course, but understandable. Taking her dog is simply contemptible.

There's more elevation in slug slime than in those creatures (I mean the robbers).

However, I would not be proud if a couple actual men found these two males and kicked the shit outta them. But if they got her dog (and purse) back to her, that I'd be proud of.
