What many people don't seem to understand.

Is that the media has ALL bases covered.

You want reasonable nuance? Rachel Maddow

You want WTF? Keith Olbermann

You want "In your face?" Ed Shultz

So, there are varying degrees of media coverage. Fox has the same design.

So does CNN, NBC, CBS, etc...

Americans are being played like a violin, all for ratings and profits.

Free thinking individuals understand , can read between the lines and discern for themselves, after sampling many different coverages of an event, through the written and spoken word, and through television coverage, as well as through foreign coverage of events.

5. Well it's supposed to be Brit Hume...
but it's all relative... Compared to Beck, Hume is the voice of reason.

9. Shep Smith. I have no idea why he stays there.
He seems almost too normal.

10. I like Shep alot. But this is apples and oranges
He isn't a host, he is a news anchor who rarely injects opinion, and in those instances, it is a sentence or two, not a commentary. When he does, it is often posted here though!

He was the best of the MSM best in his Katrina coverage.

I would LOVE to see him move to a channel that I would actually watch, but it is good he is there. He may be the only sane voice that channel's followers gets to hear.

11. It's not just for ratings and profits.
It's for their owners' political agenda. Which is why there are so few like Keith and Rachel, even though their ratings are great.
