Thanks to the mods for cutting the link to ElectoralVote.Com
It was always depressing reading and I don't think any of those polls could be trusted.

1. +1
The day before the election in 2004, they predicted a Kerry victory. I haven't been able to trust them since.

2. Hmmm......
That's kinda funny on a couple levels, if it wasn't so sad.

13. Polls are best ignored
Polls just cause inappropriate reactions and emotions one way or the other. And to what end?

3. Tanenbaum is a rare breed
He is a Democratic libertarian. Not many people self-identify with that these days.

4. Bill Maher?
I think Bill's a liberal who just can't admit it.

7. Probably because most people
actually like electoral-vote.com. Just because they aren't blowing smoke up your ass doesn't make them bad.

thought you were agreeing with a different post than the one you were actually agreeing with.

Although I do have to ask, rather than unrec'ing, why didn't you just say you liked the website in question?

15. How can I
dislike you? I don't know you. Perhaps you should heed your own adice.

8. Because that's a useful site.
And honestly, it's probably because some people dislike you -- that's the reason my own threads get unrecced, but I'm cool with that.

11. Well, yeah, some people do dislike me.
And that's their right, I guess.

Weird that they get personal with it, but that's their hangup.

10. Generally, whining about unrecs gets and automatic unrec from me
But in this case I recced this thread. The less woe and doom being spread around here today, the better.

6. I think you mean electoral-vote.com. I go there every day.
It is one of my favorite sites and I find the info good. The fact that Kerry lost in 2004 is hardly fault of a websites that gathers polls to predict a result. If you go to past elections on the page, it even explains the results for 2004.
