For what it's worth....

Living in the USA, it may be easy to get swept up by all the hysteria and such going on today. I get overwhelmed by it just reading DU and such. However, when I take a step back and look at the USA from outside of the country. I get the feeling you guys are actually going to win tomorrow (The dems, I mean).

I think a lot of this fear will draw the same people who came out last time, and those people will vote for Dems. Don't forget, many people don't pay attention to politics the way DUers do and could very well be okay with everything so far.

I'm kind of just thinking out loud, but a large part of me thinks I'm correct. So, good luck.

The Gop has torn all of our infrastructure to shreds, let the physical plants fall apart, social nets start to unravel and I can see them doing it all the way, they have wanted to since I can remember and I remember some of the more rabid righties back when I was little, the howl they set up over the civil rights and and Medicare. I did not really understand, hell i was only about 6.
When my great grandmother got sick after grand father died if not for medicare it would have wiped out the extended family. We were going from an Era when they just died at home quickly with the comforts that prayer could offer to getting medical care. This was rural WV in the 60s.
