More Toyz For The Boyz - A Backpack Bomber
unhappycamper note: Since the ‘Pentagon’ (Righthaven LLC? Gannett?) has ‘requested’ that I only post one paragraph from articles on Army Times, and Airforce Times, To keep in that same (new) tradition, I will also do the same for for articles on Navy Times, Marine Corps Times, stripes.com and military.com.
To read the article in the military's own words, you will need to click the link.

Read all about Fair Use here. It sure is beginning to smell like fascism.

unhappycamper summary of this article: I fully expect to see one or two articles a day about all these wondrous new (relatively cheap if you compare it to a $5 billion dollar Zumwalt-class destroyer) killing machines the rest of the year.

I have not seen any articles about any of the major weapons systems in the military rags in over a week.

Unmanned bomber fits in backpack

The Air Force is working to develop a small unmanned bomber that can fit in a backpack and be deployed by infantry in seconds to annihilate enemy forces. It’s a tool that could prove useful for Marines and special operators on the frontlines of the war on terror where critical air support isn’t always moments away.
