This morning I cast an un-enthusiastic, un-motivated vote at my precinct
And you know what? It mathematically counts for exactly the same as the vote of some teabagger who has been chomping at the bit to vote for months.

So take that, pollsters.

1. Yay!
I like your perspective. I was very enthusiastic to vote, but that's because we have Inslee and Murray.

My coworker is an 'Independent', which means she's a 'chomping-at-the-bit' teabagger. I cancelled out her vote for Rossi. I just hope there's enough of us out there, enthusiastic or not, to get Murray back in.

2. I know...my entire motivation for voting was Russ Feingold
He is a gold standard for what an intelligent thinking senator who reads bills before voting on them should be.

Russ got me to the polls, I voted straight democratic because the aftermath of voting for a republican would require psych-medications that I have thrown away.

4. In the same way even voting for a DINO helps Dems retain control of Congress,
including all of the huge benefits that goes along with that. In the end that is much more important in a general election than being pissed at any individual Democratic candidate.

Our bosses at work (for those of us who have a job and a boss) expect us to do our jobs regardless of whether we are enthusiastic or motivated. Our job today is to elect Democrats and if in any specific instance somebody cannot stomach that, then the job is to keep any Republican/Teabagger from being elected.

5. Teabaggers think they get 10 extra votes
.....for being real assholes.

So does Chuck Todd.

7. Well...
how many of your fellow un-enthusiastic, un-motivated counterparts are going to not even bother to vote?

THAT is the question.

11. The thought of having crazies with positions of power
pushes sane people to get to the polls, enthusiastically or not.

8. Me too
I had a choice between a pro-forced birth, gay-hating Democratic shill for the oil industry and a pro-forced birth, gay-hating Republican shill for the oil industry. I went with the one who didn't put out a racist anti-immigration TV ad.

10. The phrase is "champing at the bit" - and I feel very enthusiastic about it!
