Has anyone seen younger voters out voting this morning?

I voted at 7:20AM this morning didn't see any young folks very light turnout but a lot of people where I live work in the morning.Most of the people that was at the polling place were older seniors even the poll workers were senior citizens.I live in Palmyra NJ mostly republicans live in my area

1. I think that we older folks get up earlier than the youngsters.

We don't party at night or something. I imagine the younger voters show up later on in the day, but I don't know for sure.

3. Our 19 yr. old daughter was with us this morning.

She took a little while to read all of the amendments but she did just fine. Didn't see any others out there her age, mostly working folks in their 30's and up.

4. Younger voters (20-30 somethings) are getting kids off to school, going to

work, etc. I used to wait until my husband came home from work, so we could go together. Date night... lol. Now, I'm dropping my son off at school, and I'll be there at 9:15-ish on the way to the grocery store. I live in Houston, TX. It's a red state, but my area of Harris County is a nice shade of blue.

6. when i went a short time ago they were all older folks. but i figure

everyone is working. my husband went off to work this morning and i hope he will stop in and vote on his way home tonight. i say i hope because when i asked him he said he'd try. he also said he didn't know who he wanted to vote for. i am not going to pressure him, though when we were talking about how i wasn't so happy with cuomo but between him and paladino with his horse screwing women emails.... bob said it's a guy thing. yech. i said i don't really care about that stuff personally, but considering what he said about gays.... people who claim moral superiority and then do that crap are hypocrites. i hope he will vote. i say if you don't vote you don't have a right to complain.

I voted at 8 am and there were about 10 people voting. I would say the average age was 70.

Good mix. I was in and out in 10 minutes - but there were elderly there, 4 little pups behind me, and lots of people in their late 20's to what looked like early 40's.

Missing? 50-65 somethings.


Although there were two very cute little old biddies (we're talking like 85) all dressed up in hat to sensible low heels blue. I'm talking baby blue hat, navy blue blouse, powder blue blazer (two blue nightmares! :rofl: ) . . .

The guy at the booth is laughing he's like: I wish everyone (to me) was so happy as you are to vote.

I turned around to the two biddies behind me and said/whispered: That's becuase I'm wearing a navy blue bra - but not electioneering ladies.

They laughed their fool heads off and were still laughing after I came out of the booth after literally selecting the entire left hand column! :rofl:

A 20 something couple in line just before me. They were talking about voting straight republican :(
I don't like it, but that's the neighborhood.

I also noticed considerable twittering going on in line, mostly by 30 somethings who are a generation younger than I am.
