7. I wish I could go vote today ...

... but I voted several weeks ago.

During the time I was under the court's supervision (as an admitted felon), my voting rights were removed from me. Fortunately here in Tennessee, ex-felons can restore their voting rights as soon as their sentence is completed (and they meet a few more requirements). My first order of business, after I learned that my judge had cut my four year probation sentence in half, was to go to my election office and re-register.

The only elections I have ever missed in my life were those that occurred while I was "on paper". Since then, I not only vote but I vote the first day of early voting.

Vote early and often. (I wish ....)
