We work at a government contractor, and I let them know that Republicans are eyeing a government shutdown if they get control and don't get their way on the budget. They're ready to vote to keep a steady paycheck when they get off work.

I just asked if they voted yet, and then let them know what the stakes were for them personally in this election. I had one guy who wasn't planning on voting today change his mind and even said he's going to call his wife and make sure she votes too.

11. I'm surprised this fact wasn't run in more ads here

I'm in VA-11, and it's supposedly going to be a tight race. Because of our proximity to DC we're going to have a lot of people employed by the federal government or government contractors.

Whatever the reason Connolly didn't campaign on that issue, I'm trying to make up for it where I work, at least.
