Report from a precinct in North Hollywood, CA
My best friend just called to tell me he voted. He arrived at 6:50 but there were only a couple of people there but more were arriving steadily. By the time he left a local LA morning show was there interviewing the voters.

"Who was your choice for Governor?"

Jerry Brown
Jerry Brown
Jerry Brown
Jerry Brown
Jerry Brown

And so on. The Reporter asks "did anybody here vote for Meg Whitman?"

Crickets.

"Why not?"

"I don't like people trying to buy my vote"

Then a guy said - to much laughter and support - I think voting for a Republican is a hate crime.

I said "Boxer?? Anybody mention Boxer???" But he said the interviewers were just asking about the Governor.

Keep 'em coming, NoHo! Good job! :headbang:

1. Good luck California - may it turn out well for you.
We could use some good vibes over the mountains here. We may be looking at Governor Tancredo tomorrow. :scared:

3. If you get Tancredo you can come live with me in Washington, assuming
Patty Murray wins. If Dino Rossi bumps her off, we both may have to hit the road! Good luck to us both, and good luck to Dems everywhere!

7. Thank you!! Fingers crossed .... What's the plan for today re reports ....
Keep thinking of the thrill of hearing W was losing -- and then the faked reversal by FOX.

And, in 2004, the thrill early in the day -- 5pm? -- that Kerry was a big winner -- and

then the steal setting in.

What's the favorite today for listening to reports?

Will there be a special thread up for reports later today?

:)

9. I'm confident there will be at least one ***OFFICIAL*** thread up as the polls
close.

Today I'm just watching MSNBC (as I do every day :-)) hoping Rachel will be on the panel later on.

I was just telling my friend who said he couldn't believe Whitman was saying she was optimistic, that when I was supporting Biden in the primaries, just focusing on the stuff he was doing, glomping on to the encouraging reports, watching videos of him speaking to potential supporters, I actually believed he was going to come in second in Iowa! I surrounded myself in Biden stuff and other Bidenites. We were only looking at the good news. When the results started coming in I honestly thought there was something with the counter or that there was something screwy with his votes and that surely his totals would take a giant leap any minute... and then the reality which seems surreal, so hard to grasp. I was reminded of that by your mention of Kerry. I wasn't as into it at that time, but assumed Kerry would win because, again, I was looking at all the positive signs and frankly couldn't believe people would put W in for a second go 'round. And then the same shocking realization of reality.

I know I'm doing the same thing this time - but at least I'm aware that I'm doing it! It's a cliff hanger.

10. Obviously, we can also rely on common sense and logic -- and

every feeling I've ever had about 2000 and 2004 point to steals.

You mentioned an interesting point -- about expecting Kerry's totals to rise quickly --

maybe something wrong with the "counter" or something.

Actually, I think we know when something is off -- HOWEVER, when Orwellian TV doesn't

confirm our doubts they seem to be very quickly dropped!! Only later do we begin to

rethink them!!

You might be interested in this website and the book that is on line there --

It's about the computers -- both LARGE used by MSM and regular voting computers which

all began coming in during mid-to-late-1960's. It's called VOTESCAM -- The stealing

of America. It's about two journalists in Florida who began investigating computer

voting there in the late 1960's. Their book was contracted with a major publisher -

but after reaching stores was taken off the shelves. They did pass on the info from

their investigations with head of DNC at the Watergate. I'd question every election

back to Nixon/Humphrey. And, these computers began coming in just as we were passing

The Voting Rights Act.

Until the LARGE computers used by MSM, they could only report ACTUAL vote tallies.

The computers gave MSM NEW POWERS to PREDICT and CALL elections/Electoral College votes,

winners and losers -- and CALL the election for the new president!

What we saw in 2000 was simply a reversal of those new powers!

Here's the link ....
http://www.constitution.org/vote/votescam__.htm

I actually own the book -- it's like $3 --

I'd requested my library to get a copy for me when they were still doing that in NJ --

Christie just eliminated that service! By the time I got the library copy, I had my own

copy of it -- and in scanning the library copy, I noticed that one of the most eessential

pages was missing in an otherwise pristine copy of the book.
