Seeing how well teabagger nutcases like Angle are doing, I wouldn't dismiss
Sarah Palin's chances if she decides to run -- in 2012 or 2016.

With the media behind her, she could be a phenomenon, just like last time. Except she'd be leading an energized teaparty, not tagging along behind a tired out John McCain.

1. Her unfavorable ratings are at 56%, which are higher than those
"enjoyed" by Nancy Pelosi, Congress or the President.

9. Angles were high, too, when she was in the primary. Time changes things. nt

2. Just keep in mind that there is a huge difference between doing well with a midterm electorate
and doing well with a Presidential electorate.

Among registered voters, Reid is way ahead. The only reason Angle might win is because of low turnout compared to Presidential elections.

3. I've written several times that I don't know why people WANT her to run
Do they think the media is suddenly going to become responsible and unbiased and show her for the idiot she is?

No.

They would love nothing more than to have the biggest excuse of all to prop her up every chance they could.

4. I hope she does get the GOP nomination.
It'll be a Dem landslide.

10. People here also celebrated an Angle primary victory.
I'd rather not take a chance on a teaparty person in power.

13. Harry beat Angle 50% to 45%
Despite poll results that showed her ahead 48% to 45.3%

He would not have prevailed against Sue Lowden.

5. She's no worse than Shrub
I agree with you. She is not to be misunderestimated! She could sweep the South, steal her way through some desperate rust belt states, hire Karl Rove and actually win! Shrub did it. The oligarchs just have to anoint her and furnish her with staff and polish--just like Shrub.

11. And that's saying, what? Actually, she's probably even dumber.
They're tied in narcissism, however. Either way, we don't want to go through that again.

7. She quit halfway through her term as governor. How could the media rationalize that away?
I'm sure they will try to, but . . . . there is going to be a big question. She quit her governorship because it was too hard! How can we be sure she wouldn't quit the presidency?

12. Half of the electorate doesn't care about qualifications, remember?
Bush had a very thin -- for then -- resume. Gore had an extensive one.

Half of the electorate voted for Bush because he was the guy they wanted to drink a beer with. That same half will vote for Palin because she's the gal they want to screw.

8. No chance of that happening I think
She may run, but I think she'd get annihilated in the primaries. The Mitt-ster and co. would have a field day with her. Even if she managed to get the nomination with Tea Party support, she'd do pretty badly in the general. Contrary to your opinion, I think 'the media' (I hesitate to portray it as a monolith) would actually join in the fun and tear her apart.
