Dallas man sentenced to more than two years for posting threat online to kill Obama
Excellent, but it should have been a longer sentence.

Say Hi to your new, skinhead pals on the inside, Brian.

A federal judge sentenced a 43-year-old northeast Dallas man to more than two years in federal prison after he admitted posting a threat to kill President Barack Obama online in March.

Brian Dean Miller was arrested March 25 after Arlington federal authorities were tipped off about remarks posted on Craigslist.org the night the national health care bill became law.

“People, the time has come for revolution,” the post read. “It is time for Obama to die. I am dedicating my life to the death of Obama and every employee of the federal government. As I promised in a previous post, if the health care reform bill passed I would become a terrorist. Today I become a terrorist.”

1. The prosecution should have thanked him for posting his intentions ONLINE-
which made his case so easy. What a dumbass.

3. Another bad ass basement dweller?
Agents tracked the post to Miller, whose mother told agents that her son “is frequently depressed, prone to verbal outbursts and may be suicidal,” according to a criminal complaint.

Almost kind of sad "I promised in a previous post..." Wonder if anybody was reading his posts besides the NSA and Feds?

Bon voyage, racist scum.

4. The problem with putting people like this in jail
is that it just gives them time to get angry and find other things to blame on obama. People like this need help.

10. I would think that the judge ordered a mental evaluation.
The defense lawyer surely did, if he was worth anything at all, especially given the comments by his mother.

Some people aren't sick, they're just assholes who are potentially violent.

7. Wonder if the moran realizes that all of the apparatus in place to
catch terrorists (which he may have supported under Bush) may well have helped arrest him!

12. He is one of millions who want to do the same evil deeds.
Faux and right wing radio thugs have been feeding hate to their audiences for years. Every time I have listened to right wing radio I hear the same drimbeat of hatred. They never say anything rational when describing our president. They portray him as evil and someone who is worst than a terrorist. The implications are clear. These irresponsible radio thugs want violence. They want chaos. They want division. But most of all they want money for spewing hatred to the most gullible in our society.
