Anyone know about this new story...
the Repugs are pushing on the intertubes?

Seems to have started at this site, and spread like wildfire on the right sites, of course shit has been added to it.

US to spend $200 mn a day on Obama's Mumbai visit

Mumbai: The US would be spending a whopping $200 million (Rs. 900 crore approx) per day on President Barack Obama's visit to the city.

"The huge amount of around $200 million would be spent on security, stay and other aspects of the Presidential visit," a top official of the Maharashtra Government privy to the arrangements for the high-profile visit said.

About 3,000 people including Secret Service agents, US government officials and journalists would accompany the President. Several officials from the White House and US security agencies are already here for the past one week with helicopters, a ship and high-end security instruments.

1. Hahaha, I googled that; every single r/w website you can
think of is carrying that, but no legitimate sites. That says a lot.

2. That's what happened when I googled...
I have a feeling this will be debunked, but I figured I'd ask the sleuths here if anyone has read anything.

6. looking at a lot of Republican/Tea Bagger supporters, it's not hard to
imagine that math isn't their best skill ...

I remember reading in the paper a (copy and paste, but presented as the writer's own thinking) LTTE where the writer "did the math" on something. Not the exact details, but it was something like where the real math said that dividing the money spent by every single person in the U.S. would give each citizen 3 thousand dollars each ... the "original thinker's" math worked it out to be 3 MILLION dollars per citizen ...
