My boss came up with the perfect reason to vote for Prop 19 (legalizing pot)

She has children in their early twenties and going to college. She said if they ever get caught with pot they won't get into serious trouble.

That convinced everyone in the office who was still uncertain because of the harm that may come to their kids. She trumped all their fears.

edited to change to Prop 19

3. I haven't seen any TV ads for prop 19, but I thought
a good one would've been: "Don't be on the same side as the drug cartels. Vote yes on prop 19."

7. CHEERS to that mother .... !! Drug War is a threat to all of us, especially youth -- !!
If a kid has a problem with drugs, it should be treated as a health issue --

not a crime!!

THAT makes us all safer !!

"Progressive" Election pamphlets are telling us NOT to vote for Prop 19.

Yes it is flawed, but at least no one will end up in jail for the minor offense of having small amount of ganga on them. And we can work to institute the needed changes.

And no longer will the big corrupt dealers get to "Plea Bargain" their way out of jail by naming other people.

One of the worst stories (absolutely true) I have heard to date is about a young woman, who moving into her first condo, her first home away from mom and dad, she made the "mistake" of catching the eye of a major pusher. This man was a neighbor.

He asked her out. She refused. He was busted a short time later, but since he was also a snitch for the local police, they let him name names, and he named her.

The cops went and planted some dope and coke in her place while she was out.

She ended up with a thirty year sentence. Her only crime had been being young and attractive and not being a police informer like the real hoodlum. One of the "Project Innocence" groups is now working to free her.
