Did anyone else leave a spot blank on their ballot?

I just could not bring myself to vote for that blue dog Jane Harman...

I left that spot blank.

First time I ever did that.

1. Yes. We had no candidate (Dem) for US Rep in my district.

So I left it blank because Poe is a whack job and the Libertarian candidate is even worse. I also left spots blank where Republican judges (and the county commissioner) were running unopposed. I did vote for Green candidates for judge.

there was one reTHUG, and 2 Tea Partiers running - NO DEMS! I did not vote in that election. I just voted on the Constitutional Amendments on the ballot. I refuse to vote for ANY of the choices offered!!!!

but despite that, and his running against the stimulus and against government waste and against TARP which was ESSENTIAL, - I voted for him anygoddamnway.

I don't know why in the hell people think ANY candidate is perfect. Some of them are a damn sight different when they're at home then when they're in DC.

I won't vote for someone, or for ballot measures that I do not know anything about or understand.
This year, I didn't vote for the local Dem assemblyman who was recently caught up in a corruption scandal.
I didn't vote for the Republican, naturally, so I left it blank.

6. I vote third party, no matter what that party is

if I'm confronted with either an unopposed GOP or an antichoice Dem. Undervotes, those with blank spaces, are kicked out of the machines, which means leaving it blank would risk not having my other votes counted.

My (R) congressman is running unopposed as were numerous down-ticket candidates. I even voted for some Libertarians and Independents just to spite R's without Democratic opponents.

House by Democrats. That's what she was. Take Jane out in the Primaries. Vote for the Dem in the General Election.

12. For two judges running unopposed

They got low scores from the various bar associations, so I didn't want to vote for them. However, they will probably win anyway, since there was no way to vote AGAINST them.
On the circuit court judges, you could vote 'yes' or 'no' for retention, and I had four judges I voted no to. Hopefully they will be kicked out, but I doubt many people went to the trouble to look up the information for 68 judges! Why do they make us do this?

Also, in most years I will not vote down-ticket races if I know NOTHING about either candidate. This year, I made an exception and voted for the Dem (or the Green if there was no Dem) for every office.

The sad thing is the number of races in this state where they can't find ANYONE to run as a Democrat. The choice is Repub running unopposed, or Repub vs Libertarian. I leave those blank as well.

I wasn't really informed on the candidates for judges races that were on the ballot, so rather than risk voting for someone nasty, I skipped those.

Got to vote on a paper ballot that will probably never be unsealed!
