4. I was listening to an iPod when I voted too ... here in NC.

A number of people looked at me funny, but no one said anything.

My little secret was that I was listening to a podcast of Stephanie Miller the whole time.

5. Our election workers are soooo old

It took forever to vote. They are very nice and not at all trying to block voting. But Jesus Mary and Joseph! Those are the ones running the place :rofl: They gave you your ballot and you can go vote at any table where a chair is available. They only had 1 booth per precinct. It is in a school so the pta had a bake sale so everyone was visiting, eating, chatting and filling out ballots. You had to show your id like 10 times because they were so old they could not read them and passed it on to another worker who had to take out their glasses........It was like a comedy show.

One couple parked stupidly in the lot and blocked an aisle so someone yelled, "who parked like an idiot? Move your car!" Someone else yelled, "probably the only republican in the neighborhood" We laughed and laughed.

We have four running our town's polling place, and the youngest one is around 70. One lady had oxygen tubes! I admire their dedication, I tell ya whut. And I wonder who will take over when this generation is gone...because almost nobody's gonna be able to retire and be free to take care of the voting booths during the day, from now on! :crazy:

LOL on the stupid parking! When I was pulling into the parking lot one guy was backing his clunker out of a parking space in a very weird, all-over-the-place manner. Mustache, semi-tinted aviator glasses, mesh baseball cap--'round these parts, it's the Repuke uniform. He gave me a little piggy look. I'm sure he was thinking "Furrin car, long hair...must be one-a-them freaky libruls."
