OMG! Corporate Media Headlines Are Just Pushing The Narrative |
|
Once upon a time it was considered poor journalism to call the election prematurely. But the media is already discussing a postmortem about how this election reflects voter hostility to governmental programs. Go privatization?

3. Reorters often write their postmortems well in advance, to publish after the |
|
polls close, because they are so sure they know what the outcome will be. That's how the "Dewey beats Truman" headline got written and then mistakenly published.

7. Maybe it was a slip-up--like when they accidentally publish the obituaries of |
|
famous people (which are typically prepaared in advance and kept on file) before those individuals have actually died.

12. we don't have to wait two years for the ugly. |
|
it's been ugly since he took office and it's just going to get worse. if they take over the house i see another impeachment in the near future. for no good reason of course. because they can. because republicans are hateful power mongers who couldn't care less about the people in this nation.

10. It Suppresses Voting IMO |
|
so many apathetic lazy ass people on the net will rationalize not voting because the MSM said it was already over, "by their predictions"

11. Like a friggin' drone. Republicans will sweep...Republicans will sweep..." |
|
I hear you, TomCADem.
I've never seen an election with the "predicted results" drilled into our collective psyches for six friggin' months.
It's the only thing they know to say.

15. Heard that on the way home. Why the f*ck bother with elections anymore? |
|
Why not just let the media tell us who won and lost? That's what they're doing and all the votes aren't even in! On the way home, they didn't entertain any other meme other than that Dems lost the House and that Obama will have to make a 'concession' speech (essentially) tomorrow.
NO other possibilities were discussed. They talked about it like it was already over and done. :wtf:
