Republicans don't think you're stupid.

They count on it. It is the key element to their governing strategy. If you are smart and have a memory, you couldn't possibly vote republican.

But they may be onto something. I was listening to NPR while waiting in the rain to pick up grandkids. They were interviewing voters from some state - Indiana or Ohio - and they came across this woman who had voted for Obama two years ago. She said she has lost her job, was paying for her own re-education, and now has no health insurance. She looked at her situation and thought about what has happened. Then she voted straight republican.

See. The republican strategy seems to work. People are really, really stupid just often enough.

Sorry to seem so cynical, but sometimes you hear things that truly justify cynicism.

Republicans WILL NOT EVER fund education like it should be. A stupid majority means and easily controlled majority.
