Therein lies the difference between a Conservative and a Liberal, female friend. We view things very differently. Most Conservatives I know care very deeply about the Arts. They simply disagree with Liberals regarding its funding. Suzanne, in... a Free Society, the free market should determine the success and failure of a product. If I want to view a program or go to a museum I do not need my ticket price subsidized by the Government, "my neighbors". The Government should stick to those things it was established to do.
