did my own voting and then volunteered for driving duty all day to get people who can't drive to the polls. South Metro Atlanta and pretty much all day every polling place I was at had a line of 20 minutes or more - even after they've added more poll workers and machines since 2008. According to the poll workers I talked to early voting was also far larger than previous midterms. We had several ballot questions that were contentious here and the governor's race has been a nasty brawl, but it sure is nice to see people coming out.

2. Large turnout in Richmond VA as well, which is unusual. During |
|
the day at my polling place they added 5 more voting booths. It's a red, red district, so I have to wonder what Dem precinct they "borrowed" them from.

5. The turnout here rivals 2008. |
|
In fact, our precinct looks busier than 2008!
Fingers crossed!
