No matter what else happens, Grayson losing will make me the saddest.....
I know it might not be the most important race tonight, but I loved the guy and loved his attitude. He is my perfect example of a Dem I love and should be copied by other dems.
I hope our party finds something for him to do. He is a true die hard democrat!!

14. an excellent idea - or how about spreading the wealth?
It's high time CNN got someone with a perspective that doesn't rival Fox's. (Anderson Cooper excepted).

20. I don't think it's been called yet -- has it? But they've been talking about it
for quite a while and I read a headline that exit polls indicated he was going down.

So true -- there are so many back there that only focus on getting a "bridge to nowhere" for their State, but there are some who are truly fighting for us ALL. Bernie, Grayson, Feingold, Boxer, Inslee, McDermott - I'm sure there are others, but not nearly enough.

I'm weeping, too.

24. I do hope Boxer at least keeps her seat
She's been a ray of hope for a long time.

Who else is there in CA? Lynne Woolsey is the only one I can think of in terms of real progressives.

31. According to DU'er Bemildred, Barb won her seat by 10 Points!
When I turned off the M$M last night, they made it sound like she was only a teeny tiny bit ahead of Fiorina. But ten full points!

The Barracuda from Hewlett Packard finally conceded in the wee hours.

13. Maybe he can move to California like Clint Curtis did and run there...
Edited on Tue Nov-02-10 07:50 PM by cascadiance
Keeping my fingers crossed that Curtis might win his slot. Might be one of the few pickups in California. He was neck and neck earlier with the Republican.

18. I would just like to officially inform Chris Van Hollen and the DCCC
You're going to Hell for this. Every last one of you. You refused to help a congressman who was targeted heavily by the Repukes. Because he didn't sign on to the DLC agenda.

Damn you all. Literally.

27. He can run again in two more years if he wants--and he can spend those
two years burning the GOP idiots with his well-chosen words and building his campign structure.

He is one of the very best we have. He can help rebuild our party just as Howard Dean did. After getting bashed by the media and pushed out of the race for president, Dr. Dean ended up almost single-handedly engineering our 2006 vitory (despite overwhelming resistance from the entrenched Washington powers in the Democratic leadership) and establishing the campaign structure that Obama's campain built on.

I can't see someone like Alan Grayson just giving up and walking away. Like Dean, he will continue to work to save America from the forces of evil and greed.
