You unfortunately have a Grade A Douchebag as your Senator.

He's going in full teabagger.

GOP doesn't tolerate dissent.

5. I hope all those teabaggers give it the republicans straight
up the arse on a daily basis. Those people are completely NUTS.

This may help 2012 be a lock for the Dems if that's the case.

38. Doubtful....Like his old man, he talks a good game, but
he'll fall right in line when the whip is cracked...I have no doubt he'll make a few 'symbolic' votes to warm a few libertarian cackles (on issues already decided, of course). But like his old man, at the end of the day there is still an (R) after his name, and both know where their bread is buttered.

Massey Energy is going to get the senator they paid for; make no mistake...All of these folks thinking he's going to be some wildcard loose-cannon libertarian purist forging some brave third way have drank the tea...

13. Mitch has high negatives, I think he will be vulnerable in 2012.
We need to frame him as not just part of the problem but one of the sources of our problems.

And we can only hope that a strong Democrat comes forward to challenge him in 2012. I won't hold my breath, though.

But I think Beshear will have a fight on his hands with the Williams/Farmer ticket. And will Chandler want to give up his house seat to take a chance against McConnell and pull an Ellsworth?

9. I live in Lexington, KY
I told my dad today that how horrendously embarrassing it was to be able to say that Mitch McConnell was the better of our two senators. And I despise McConnell. CRAP...

What the hell is wrong with people that they would elect someone like this as a senator? I don't get...I don't even think this can be attributed to the 'redneck' jokes about Kentucky. This is simply absurd.

Brandywine precinct in the south east out tates creek.

And Don Pratt did better there than I expected. 80+ year old women were voting for him. He got 35 votes out of the 199 that voted.

We now have an openly gay mayor!

Oh yeah, Congrats to Steve Kay.

Sue Gorton will make a fine Vice Mayor.

Ben, yeah Ben did what we expected. He's going to be around for a long time. The Chandler name i still golden around here.

BTW, photos from Thriller Saturday night. Zombies galore.

35. I've never understood mens' irrational hatred (fear?) of douchebags.
Is their ju-ju powerful enough to be used as a weapon?

Should I place several around the outside of the bathroom door so that I can finally take a long bath in peace?

Maybe chase the Mister around the house with one until he agrees to take me to the symphony?

:)

Thanks for remembering that there are good people living down here.
