Leading handily. I know the numbers are low, but it's a small comfort at this point.

Republican TOM EMMER AND ANNETTE T. MEEKS 136225 33.89

6. 54% of precincts reporting and Dayton maintains a 7-point lead
This is significant. Dayton is no DINO, but a genuine progressive, and a thoroughly principled and compassionate man. This comes after eight years of the arrogant Neocon Tim Pawlenty as MN governor.

Right now, they're saying 62% of precincts are in, and still a seven-point lead for Dayton.

7. 48 of precincts in and Dayton leads by 6 points
Took a long time for the last update, hope things start moving a tad more quickly. Out state vote totals should be hitting soon.

11. Hmm. Now 71% in and Dayton's lead down to 2%.
Typically, though, the last precincts to report are those in northeastern Minnesota and the Iron Range - and those are Dayton strongholds.

12. Reports are that there was over-reporting of votes in Hennepin county, the most populous in MN
Edited on Wed Nov-03-10 12:27 AM by Mister Ed
This evidently caused Dayton's lead to be reported as much larger than it really is.

13. WTH? Now the same station says reporting precincts are back down to 60%?
..and Dayton has a 3-point lead.

How can the number of reporting precincts go down?

Maybe I better change the channel...

I'm sticking with the Sec of State site. 64.5% in
