Fortunately, Massachusetts is still sane
Looks like a clean sweep by Dems in state-wide offices. And at least two of the three nutty ballot initiatives are down in flames.

2. The one that isn't ahead now was before, so
there's still hope that things will turn around again before it's over.

11. Two separate issues
Alcohol tax repeal is winning but sales tax to 3% is not. I'm ok with that.

14. Oh - I conflated the two. Thanks. I can live with no tax on alcohol as well.

But it will be another blow to the states budget.

15. Oh, agreed
I voted against it but, as a vinophile, I'm not exactly disappointed! ;)

I did get to vote to legalize pot today though . Too bad it wasn't binding.

Non-binding but it's a start.

See the question "Regulate marijuana" about 3/4 down the page on the right. It passed in large numbers!

3. As soon as AP will accept to call these races.
Markey is 30 points ahead and they still have not called the race. Same thing for McGovern. And when will they call Patrick, 9 points ahead with 63 % of the vote in.

They have spent their time telling us that the race would be close and that Frank was in danger. Really?

5. I'm iffy on 1, though I voted No
I can understand the point that the excise tax is there because there's not a sales tax.

7. Well, that does help make up a bit for Brown...
though I still cringe at the thought of him in Kennedy's seat. But, at least Mass residents regained their senses.
