How about this for a thought to help you get through the night and into tomorrow.

It looks like Alan Grayson is going to lose his seat in the House. It is a voice we need.
Many here are disheartened with the Democratic Party, with their failure to put up
progressive leaning candidates. How about thinking of Grayson for chairman of the
Democratic National Committee.

Here he could have a bigger voice instead of just one voice. He could help shape the
Democratic party into a party that really could make a difference. He could help find
candidates that would promote the true values that this country was founded on.

Just give it a thought.

Many people considered Barack Obama one of the most liberal Senators in Congress.

With a Republican house, the Democrats and the President can go on the offensive knowing that the Republicans actually has some responsibility now, and who would be more aggressive than Grayson?

The ad was correct. Too bad if the weasles who lead this party don't want to expose a fundie lunatic for what he is.

The ad was not what lost the race, it was because he was TARGETED with millions of dollars to try to shut him up.

That ad didn't even come close to being as offensive as Republican ads.

I am so sick of belonging to a party that shivers in its boots every time someone fights fire with fire.

I want to belong to a party that FIGHTS. This is why we are losing, because people wanted action, not appeasement.

As for Grayson, he won in a Republican district. He scared them so they spent a fortune to buy his seat for a fundie radical. Their loss, maybe our gain.

Blaming one ad for a loss is ludicrous.

Posters have said that Grayson's district was heavily Republican. His two years of criticizing Republicans most likely turned off a lot of his constituents, so that Republican attack ads were effective.

I hope he would continue in the public arena in an area in which people would be more receptive to what he has to say.

Don't get me wrong - I like Grayson. He says a lot of things that NEED to be said, but he says it with too much "look at me."
Questionable ethics and tactics did him in if constituent services didn't. Seriously. The stories I have heard about him picking up the phone and cussing out constituents does not a re-election make.

28. I have been reminding people on many threads that after Dr. Dean was driven

out of the presidential race by the MSM, he didn't just go home. Instead he virtually single-handedly rebuilt the Democratic party and made it viable all over the country. He established the campaign structure that Obama's campaign built on in 2008. And he continues to be a voice for sanity and progressive values on the national stage.

I am hoping that Alan Grayson will do the same sort of thing. The way he handled his two years in Congress made him a national presence, and I am hoping he will now use his fame to help push progressive values and to call the GOP on their lies, fraud, and general nastiness.
