6. I spoke my piece....
Told her, what's so wrong with Obama? He's a good, intelligent man.
Also mentioned that the Republican party is just too extreme (she wants them to "take the country back"?)

Told her this and then goodbye. God, why do I even care?

2. Sometimes you have to.
I felt better when I did. I try to keep my facebook as apolitical as possible, but it's really hard sometimes.

13. Not a real friend.....
Just an internet one. I could take her pro Sarah Palin cheerleading (she's rather youngish) but wanting the GOP to take back the country? (FROM WHAT?????)

She probably doesn't care what I think, but I spoke my little piece. :)

7. Exactly right. Time and energy are the only two things that are really yours in this world.
And ugly-minded people will waste them both.

14. Wow, did she delete my firm, but very civil remarks?
Edited on Tue Nov-02-10 10:40 PM by Darth_Kitten
Or do I just not see them on her page because she already deleted them?

Well...

Edit: They were deleted.

Note the following exchange:

so.....i'm not sure why you felt the need to do....whatever that was you just did. i have never gone after your political postings on facebook, even though i disagree with them. i'm not sure why liberals are allowed to say whatever the hell they want to without any repercussions, but as soon as i exercise that exact same freedom in the opposite direction, i am treated to your lovely condescending lecture and subsequent un-friending. when someone says something you don't agree with, the thing to do is to be the bigger person and move on, instead of randomly picking a fight.

.....this is why you are called a troll. juuuuuust saying.

Me:
Gloating is not very adult. I am called a troll? Well, I would just consider the source and laugh. This is Facebook, not bloody real life.
My remarks are and were very tame. If you post something, people are going to respond.
Don't get into this liberal/conservative thing; You hardly know where I stand on most issues. It's not anybody who's a moderate or liberal who has trouble tolerating dissenting opinions in this present political climate.
Relying on Fox News for your view of the world is a little sad.

Okay, and how is it that you know that I rely on Fox News for my view of the world?

I am pleased and proud with my state's choices today. How is that gloating?

I do not have problems with others' dissenting opinions. You clearly had a problem with mine and piped up even though nobody was talking to you. When you post something that I don't like or disagree with, I ignore it. I don't engage you because that's petty and silly. I am not the one with the problem here.

Also, "troll" is an internet term for people who do nothing but comb the internet and chime in where they were not invited for the sole purpose of causing trouble. Please don't take my word for it, look it up. So actually, even though I was not the one who gave you that label in the first place, it is ever so apt.

Me:
Yes, you DO have problems with others' dissenting opinions. You deleted VERY innocent postings.
So I guess people should just post but not have others post replies, because that would make them trolls? Interesting.
No, honey, I'm not a troll. You just need to grow up a bit and see the REAL world. I already know too much about that person who "thinks" I'm a troll. Nice gal. Not.
It's really too bad the present day Republican party is being led or wants to be led by extremists and morons. Look those words up in the dictionary.
