12. My first election in 1980 I voted for John Anderson. It was already

called for Reagan so I threw Anderson a bone. He needed to get enough votes to qualify for matching funds if I remember right. Idaho was going to Reagan anyway even if they hadn't called it early.
I thought Anderson getting some support might encourage independent or third party candidates in the future. Maybe I helped in a minuscule way to bring Ross Perot in.:) That worked out well.
