the Blue Dogs/DLC/third way 'ers

or the more progressive wing of the party colloquially referred to as the "professional Left"?

I am guessing many of the seats we lost were Blue Dog/3rd way seats like Lincoln and Nelson. Am I right? Could it be that the consensus among the remaining Dems might then shift farther Left? And having a tighter ideological core might make us more effective and cohesive as an opposition party in the House?

Anyway, I don't think its over for us yet. I think the takeaway from this whole election fiasco is that the Democrats need to start acting like Democrats. Theres no making nice with the republican'ts.
