1. The thing is, we didn't survive.
All that we now suffer is due to what happened in '94, and before that, 1980.

We're still here, we're still breathing, but we are gasping for air and desperately need some oxygen.

2. I thought about that after...
I posted this, and you're absolutely right. I can't believe the country is that far to the right. Even being upset with Dems to put multiple Rand Pauls in office is down right dangerous..IMO. Don't these people...especially the older ones walking around with their don't tread on me flags...realize they want to take away their SS, and other benefits. Or those that are out of work, no more or very limited unemployment. It doesn't make sense...

3. We're not this far to the right
We're just demoralized. When the American people are inspired, with hope and not with fear, we witness a 2008.

But hope didn't last very long. Political "reality" set in, where D.C. does every dirty business except the people's business.

It didn't need to be this way. This is a disappointing and predictable result of policies geared to save Wall Street, to protect corporations, to assume trickle down is a truth instead of a fiction.

Democrats need to know better, and we have to be the ones to tell them. Or else we lose.
