1. I hope we keep Heinrich
I'm just sick we're getting stuck with Martinez. That's a disaster.

3. Lots of that "you never learn" going on
Georgia just elected Nathan Deal as their governor, even though he quit Congress to avoid ethics charges. South Carolina just elected Sanford in a Skirt, who promised to "change the status quo", despite the fact that she IS the status quo. And, they gave Joke Wilson another term. Lousy-ana just gave Diaper Dave Vitter another term. Only Democrats are bad when they cheat on their wives, dontcha know. I'm sure there are plenty of other examples, but I'm too tired and disgusted to care a this point.

This is the United States of Amnesia.

4. Well, New Mexicans.... Prepare to kneel and pray before the TX oilmen and bidness folk.
Kiss your child care subsidies good bye...

Watch as the education and health systems implode messily, destroying hundreds of jobs in the process...

Hey, maybe we'll even get our own brown-o-meter law, wouldn't that be a kick?

Anything can happen with Texas now in charge.

The only thing we have to look forward to is watching the lege toss that Tejana Goob on its horns for a month or so each year.

pessimistically,
Bright

5. Right, the lege is heavy with corrupt SOBs owned by booze
and oil, but they're not going to take very kindly to a lot of that Tejana lawn order freak's agenda.

She's really going after medical pot. Apparently she hates the idea of sick people feeling a little better.

6. She has to please her owners, after all, and I'm sure there are plenty of Big Pharm execs among them
She'll get a real warm welcome here in Santa Fe, too.

I'll be interested to see whether she cozies up to United Health/Optum or replaces them with some other cageful of weasels.

sourly,
Bright
