3. what is it with everyone blaming the Green?
:wtf:

If the Dems had run a candidate that didn't have a banking scandal behind him, and done a generally poor job of campaigning, they would have won. The Green, who won a paltry 3% or so of the vote, came in well under where he was polling.

Of course, it's much easier to blame the Green and to work to eliminate Greens from the ballot entirely, than to face up to the Democrats' failures.

The Dems DO NOT own anyone's vote. They must earn it. Clearly, they failed.

As it seems by the numbers that only the most devoted Green voters voted Green this time, anyway, blaming the Green for this loss seems particularly short-sighted. Chances are those votes were never going to go to Giannoulias, even if Jones hadn't been on the ballot.

5. Evan Bayh has already blamed The Gays, so people are looking
for new scapegoats, possibly.

13. How exactly am I supporting the opposition?
By pointing out that Dems need to look at their failures rather than use the Greens as a scapegoat?

Well, sorry if you're offended, but the Dems need to address their own failures rather than pointing fingers. That solves nothing.

11. Green is a good name for these guys....
...because they're so wet behind the ears it's hopeless trying to reason with them. The Greens siphon votes away from Democrats in tight races and put conservatives in power as a result.

12. How about nominating someone who is neither a liar nor a crook?
That would be a very novel approach, but it's worth a try.
