How many blue dogs are there in the Senate - enough for Cloture?

Hmmm, Nelson of NE, Dorgan of ND, Pryor of AR, Miss Mary, Manchin of WV, off the top of my head. Probably a few who will vote for cloture on principal. But it will still be difficult for the GOP to get anywhere. And Reid still has control of what comes up for vote. I hate losing Nancy Pelosi more than anything.

They likely have 48 seats. I don't think it will be that hard for them to grab 3 votes if they make it a simple majority.

The House has been passing bills like hot potatoes ever since Nancy took over. Really good bills. The Senate Majority Leader decides whether to vote on the House version or put up their own Senate version which is what they usually do. It doesn't really give too much power to Repubs, but I suspect it is going to be a death match for the next two years. It's not going to be no-drama for Obama, hope he gets used to it in a hurry.
