1. Multnomah GOTV fail
Edited on Wed Nov-03-10 01:50 AM by 0rganism
If that stat's accurate, the rest of the state was more than 10 points over Mult, turn-out wise. Multnomah's the Democrats' lifeblood in close races.

6. All I know is that there were lines of cars on three streets, waiting to drop off ballots...
... in the Hollywood neighborhood at 7:15 tonight.

Have those votes all been counted?

7. county result link said "unofficial", but also 100% precincts reported
Not sure if that meant "counted" - their next update's about to happen.

2. Check the state site
Edited on Wed Nov-03-10 01:49 AM by sandnsea
According to this site, everything has been counted, except we know it hasn't or there would be a winner. It's got voter turnout at 52%. They can't be done yet. I think it's just the way they're putting it on the web sites. Multnomah County couldn't possibly have had a 39.67 turnout. Not when everyone knew how close Kitz' race is. There's got to be some other explanation for these numbers.

4. county results are 2k *over* egov's
Either something very suspicious is happening, or Portland just gave up on this election.

10. Hmmm .... It is hard to believe the Multnomah Co. numbers .....
< 40% ?

Sheeeesh .... It was a beautiful day too ..... a perfect day to spend a few minutes completing a basic ballot and walking it to a ballot box ....

39% ? .... That would be shameful ...

Me too
The whole state is only at 52% and was projected between 60-70%. I just don't think they're done counting and the way they're updating the tallying is just screwy.

9. NY Times has
Dudley 541,000
Kitzhaber 522,000

and only 59% of Multnomah reporting.

Somebody's numbers are off.

14. So did George Bush

He says waitresses shouldn't get a minimum wage and the wealthy should get tax cuts. And unemployed Oregonians voted for that shit.

I'm still holding out for Portland because I just don't believe that turnout is right.

15. My wife and I voted for Kitzhaber but we live in Clackamas County.
I'm shocked that Multnomah County is having such a poor turnout. Good God! Could we have Governor Dudley? :banghead:

16. okay some good news
the multnomah election site results display sucks and someone needs to rewrite how they present their information...

They are not at %100! they're still counting cause when I checked again there were 10000+ more votes and the percentage turnout went up..

Keep your fingers crossed..
