It was NOT a level playing field
We were beaten by corporate money, period.

The Repug candidates wallowed like pigs in massive amounts of money via the Koch brothers, the Chamber of Commerce, and very likely secret foreign donations.

Ultimately, we can blame the right-wing members of the Supreme Court.

At least Obama has the next 2 years to replace any sitting justices who die or retire.

3. That's it and it's going to get worse.
Last night Ed said, the funding for 2012 begins now because we're up against huge corporate money. This USSC is so fuggin corrupt. The selection of w in 2000 has left a stench that has never left.

6. Impeach a couple of SC justices
That might do the trick.

While the Repukes are busy obstructing, we could be busy impeaching.

9. And you left our vote-rigging and intimidation. I'd bet they have
played a bigger role than most would imagine.

11. Money alone is not the answer
Here in CA we had a single candidate who spent almost double what the Chamber of Commerce spent nationwide. One candidate.

Not only did this candidate lose. She got thumped. Embarrassingly so.

So it's hard for me to say these crappy election results were solely due to the cash poured into gop coffers.

The constant media drum beat for the past year and a half ("Dems are gonna get creamed because nobody likes their policies") had more to do with it IMO.

Obama not getting actively involved until too late in the game didn't help either.

13. The unemployment rate
Had more of an impact than money spent on elections.

When the economy is in the shitter, the ruling party takes a hit.

15. If you take out
If you take out McMahon, Scott, and Whitman and the money they spent from their personal fortunes, the money does tend to even up. Lots of Dem congressmen ran lousy campaigns, strategy-wise.
