3. I say we have done enough coddling of the right wing.
Blue dogs, Lieberdouche, etc...

All they do is water down the party to the point of gridlock.

16. It's not a mouse. It's rats and they have been gnawing on my ass.
Blanche Lincoln, Ben Nelson, Evan Bayh, Mary Landrieu, Mark Warner, Joementum, etc....

And while I personally am disgusted with the milquetoast wing of the party, they are part of my party and thus the "we".

18. She's a republican...
like Charlie Crist, she does what is politically expedient for her to win office but still a republican.

Palin failed to get her candidate elected to her home State.

17. How would that benefit the Democrats in any way? We already have the majority.
And it's not like caucusing with us would make her vote with us.

20. Nope.. she'll do the "whipped puppy" routine
and caucus with the Rs.. There's no advantage (for her) to caucusing with the dems.

22. No but it's a moot question as she's not going to win
The generic "write in candidate" was only about 4 percentage points ahead of Miller from the last result I saw and the Dem candidate is now out of the running altogether.

Given that you can discard a write in vote due to a misspelling (even if the intended candidate is obvious) I would anticipate a good quarter to half of any write ins for Murkowski will be disqualified.

Looks like Palin's rally probably ended up saving Miller's hash.
