All Right, A-Holes..............
Yeah, you won. Guess what? Now you get 2 years to fix.......EVERYTHING. YOU set the bar, now YOU get to live by it. And if everything isn't fixed in the next 2 years, guess what will happen. The Boner will be the shortest-lived Speaker in American History.

I think you'll find that being in charge is just a TAD tougher than simply saying no to everything. So here you go, A-holes, here's the keys. Fix everything. You've got 2 years. Go.

1. Ideally, yes. But...
guess who is going to get the blame, for everything?

Voting for Gridlock

Ezra Klein: "From the perspective of actually getting anything done in the next two years, there was perhaps no worse outcome. Republicans don't fully control Congress, so they don't have enough power to be blamed for legislative outcomes. But Democrats don't control the House and they don't have a near-filibuster proof majority in the Senate, so they can't pass legislation. Republicans, in other words, are not left with the burden of governance, and Democrats are not left with the power to govern. Republicans don't have to be responsible, and Democrats can't do it for them."

First Read: "The likely next House speaker, John Boehner, couldn't have asked for a better result from last night. With Democrats in charge of the White House and the Senate, Boehner's GOP-controlled House now has the potential to pass legislation at will, but blame the Obama administration and the Senate for the inability to get things done -- or to pass THEIR versions of legislation (like, say, repealing health care). Which ever party wins the spin war over the expected gridlock in Washington will have the upper hand heading into 2012."

2. Worst part, to me, is...
that Rand Paul gets to block any and every legislation he dislikes for the next SIX years. Instant gridlock...just add water.

3. Damn is he going to need a HUGE supply of Viagra and that Kraft Mac&Cheese powder.
You're correct. They set the bar - now live up to it. BUT WAIT - what if the Democrats FILIBUSTER!?!?!??! Get those whaaaaambulances ready. There are going to be a SHITLOAD of teabaggers needing emergency transport to the FOX Noise studios for interviews.

4. I really hope Mike Malloy is right about this.
He has been speculating recently that two years of teabagger madness in Congress might be a good thing in the long run if it actually caused people to wake the Hell up.

Boner & friends will propose a bunch of stupid shit. The Senate had better kill it, and if the Nelson/Lieberman wing of the Senate actually allows any of it to pass, then Obama damn well better use the veto pen.

So hopefully they won't actually be able to do much damage.
