i'm amazed that a man (rick scott) who oversaw the largest ever theft of medicare money won
They filed false cost reports, fraudulently billing Medicare for home health care workers, and paid kickbacks in the sale of home health agencies and to doctors to refer patients. In addition, they gave doctors "loans" never intending

to be repaid, free rent, free office furniture, and free drugs from hospital pharmacies.<27><28> <29><30><31> In late 2002, HCA agreed to pay the U.S. government $631 million, plus interest, and pay $17.5 million to state Medicaid

agencies, in addition to $250 million paid up to that point to resolve outstanding Medicare expense claims.<32> In all, civil law suits cost HCA more than $2 billion to settle, by far the largest fraud settlement in US history at the

time.

3. Hopefully Florida will soon adopt the Louisiana two-term limit rule:
1) one term in office;
2) one term in prison. ;-)

And may #1 be quite short and #2 quite long.

The repukes made the media one of their tools. The vast majority of the Dems did NOTHING to correct the messaging that the repukes were sending out. One of the few that did, Grayson, is out..

5. Welcome to Florida
It is utterly amazing. They'd vote for a fox to guard a hen house if he'd call himself a republican.

7. Nothing about the voters preferences in Florida surprises me any more.

Katherine Harris, Jeb Bush, Adam Putnam, Ginny Brown-Waite.
They are all cast from the same corrupt and evil mold.

9. Sad commemtnary on how easily American voters can be duped, bought and distracted.
The repukes are experts at all three, and the Dems are merely amateurs at getting the truth out there..

10. Pardon me while I go vomit.
I honestly don't get it. Hope I never understand why voters will prefer a fucking criminal over a woman with a proven track record of fiscal responsibility.

13. The good news is I don't see him lasting beyond a single term.
He's every bit as corrupt as Jeb but lacks the finesse Jeb had that allowed him to escape the public scrutiny for his misdeeds.

Scott's a fraud, and once a fraud, always a fraud. Ethics watchdogs better have a microscopic eye on Thumb Man and if there's any hint of corruption that can be exposed and cause Scott's term to end early, by God expose it!

He's taken the 5th, but that doesn't mean he isn't guilty as hell or will not be indicted.

17. what it should tell you is that Floridians have a high tolerance for corruption.
Maybe they realize it's a losing battle? There's no one around that will help when something goes wrong, and it does go wrong quite often.
