Why not explain why. After all, if you've "seriously" considered it, let's hear your plan.

27. No plan.
And my rational side will probably override my impetuous side. But I wonder why Mexicans have the guts to try to brave crossing the border for a better life, but Americans do not. Sometimes I really do think that we're just too fat, lazy, and stupid(content to be ruled).

from Mexico looking for work.

I could be wrong, though.

go be poor in Mexico for a while. You could do with some perspective, I think.

... whan I retire.

Depends on the $$ involved. Right now... Ireland , among other places, is looking good to someone with a fixed ( US-based ) income.

But what if the corporatists decide to raid public employee pensions not to mention SS?

Lots of variables here.

Spend the weekends at her 'hoooose' She went to university too. Her friends had cottages we went to in the summer.
What was missing were the billboards. Much easier to get lost up there.

I miss Canada. The people were more laid back, grounded in reality. Sensible.

Edited on Thu Nov-04-10 12:57 AM by StreetKnowledge
Oh, say, CA, HI, WA, OR, MI, MN, IL, WI, FL, MA and VT. ;)

We'll be happy to have ya.

You can keep your state legislatures until the next elections, which you have to do by November 2, 2015. We'll allot you House of Commons seats based on population, with one every roughly 100,000 people. You'll be subject to legal changes to make your states compliant with Canadian laws, which include no discrimination based on race, gender, sexual orientation, national origin or anything else determined by genetics. We don't even demand that you enact single-payer healthcare systems, but without them your economies are gonna be somewhat compromised. ;)

But, as part of this, we will be requiring a few people be sent out. You know, Michelle Bachmann, Marco Rubio, the usual suspects. You are more than welcome to bring Bernie Sanders, Russ Feingold, Al Franken, Michael Moore and Alan Grayson, though. :)

Oh right - the US... well... some of us are fenced in by "reservations", which the white US defines as sovereign nations, and they are, but - the whole deal is wimpy and massively unfair. The forgotten "camps" almost...

I just looked up and watched Obama talk about being beaten down. I support this man. He has the integrity all others lack.
