3. The only people I voted for who lost were a write-in candidate and an independent.

Everyone I donated to, except for Brittany Novotny and the Iowa Judges, won.

4. Depending on how the FL gubernatorial race turns out, I have every chance...

of batting a thousand on losing candidates. If Scott the Should Be Convict becomes Florida's governor, everyone I voted for will have lost.

Essentially making Obama the only successful candidate I have voted for in ten years.

5. We lost a really good State Representative

to one of the scary right wing fundie types. He likes to dodge between politics and the church. When one of our youth directors wanted to run for office, we asked him to resign his position in the church because we did not feel it was appropriate. This other guy - I am not sure what position he had, but he was being paid by a church.

We lost our Governor, but it was like he curled up and gave up. I cannot stand the fact that Branstad is back in, but Culver put up absolutely no fight. I thought he had a pretty good record to run on, and he should have emphasized it. Iowa withstood the economic storm fairly well under him, and he should have talked about it. I really did not care what Branstad did 20 years ago. Culver needed to sell himself, and he did not.
