Look at US History... carefully.

You will notice something interesting. The House does not swing wildly from party to party. The longest any part held that house was 40* years that ended in 1994.

Now think about that for a second.

When Reagan was President, the HOUSE was Democratic.

What we are seeing is not just anger, but an unstable political system, and the end of empire.

I expect our predictable fall from Empire to come soon. Perhaps before 2020 it will be official. Yes call me Cassandra.

As in this will accelerate it. No, not because it is the GOP... it is inevitable. We are already a second rate power, not that you could tell from the size of DOD. You need to look at things like Industrial production, steel production.

Now with the fall will come a lot of pain. And maybe the very well trained American people will finally react. I am not counting on it. But truth be told Progressives time to organize and time to plan. The future of the progressive movement is not within the cadres of EITHER major party, which predictably asks for your help every election and pisses you off every off year. No, the future is in MOVEMENT politics. The country needs a THIRD WAY, no pun. That third way is a constant movement, organized, decentralized, and supporting candidates that wil run as part of the movement. It needs to build from bellow, it needs to infiltrate parties as needed.

But be ready... the fall of Empire is not nice. It will come with pain like you have never seen. It may even include a depression... and indeed I will not be shocked if at the end of it the country falls into five to seven successor states. I am sorry, but the country is that disparate.

But the years to come, not because of Republicans, but a PROCESS that is well under way and Obama could not stop, nor all the angels on the top of a pin could, will be very painful. So time to prepare for that future and organize a MOVEMENT... me I am ready for that. It is way past time to get an alternate press going, the current corporate press is actually situation normal for US history. So the other situation normal were the worker press, inexistent at this moment.. And the willingness of the American Left (whatever remains of it) to finally organize.
