Election Postmortem: A Wave? Or an Undertow?
Sure, it's probably a little silver lining-ish, but looking at the seats Republicans flipped last night, how many were really STUNNING? During the Democratic ascendance, Dems were taking seats with 20 point Republican voter advantages. Last night, the most Democratic seat that went to the GOP was a D+4. Please read this before you consider last night's results the end of the world, because they're not. The vast majority of GOP wins were in districts where they were SUPPOSED to win:
